LB’s wellness plan week # 20

Fitness – Put your favorite music on and dance! In the privacy of your own home turn up the tunes and groove to an upbeat playlist. You’ll burn off calories and let go of stress while having fun.

Food – don’t deny your cravings. If you’re really in the mood for something unhealthy just take a small taste. If you deny cravings now you might indulge later.

Family
– Plan an outdoor family trip together. Go to the beach or plan a picnic in a park. It’s summer time so get outside and enjoy the sun.

Fitness – Put an inspiring picture of a person on your refrigerator. Beach season is here and it’s time to get motivated. Every time you feel like snacking you’ll think twice by looking @ your goal body type.

Food – Purchase fruit specials in the supermarket. Food has become more expensive so it’s important to look for price breaks when they are available.

Family – Do house hold chores together as a family. Cook together, do laundry together and share cleaning responsibilities as a family.

Fitness – Stretch before you go to bed. This will help you relax after a hectic day. Try a yoga child pose or stand up tall and reach your arms up and stretch right then left.  You will be able to fall asleep easier by letting go of daily stress.

Food – Bring food from home to work.  You will eat much healthier and save money.

Family – Learn something new from an older family or friend.  Ask that person in your life whom you look up to about their childhood. You will feel closer and have a greater understanding about that individual.

Fitness – Warm-up your body before you stretch and workout. Get the blood flowing by getting on the treadmill, cross trainer or elliptical for 10 to 15 minutes.  After your body warms up you’ll get a better stretch and you’ll prevent injuries.

Food – Substitute whole milk with low-fat milk or even soy milk. The brand 8th Continent makes delicious soy milk in a vanilla flavor.

Family – Donate your old clothes to your local Salvation Army. Spring is a great time to clean out your wardrobe. Go through your family’s garments and give new life to your clothes for people in need.
